June 22, 2026 — 5:30 PM

Invocation
The meeting began with a prayer at 5:32 PM.
Approval of Minutes
Minutes from the May board meeting were approved.
Acknowledgement of Presidential Transition
The Board formally acknowledged the transition in presidential leadership, recognizing Andrew Craig’s departure from Scott County Catholic Schools and welcoming Michael Fisher as the new President.
Reports
Finance
ESA applications –124 students still need to apply for the ESA. The deadline for completing this is June 30th. Applications pending review by that date will still qualifyas long as the family submits the requested documents.
Enrollment –Enrollment is at 2,188 students.
It was noted that the finance committee welcomed Penny Trier and extended their sincere thanks and best wishes to Carey Jones.
Financial Summary – Net deficit for May is $286,052. The main reason for this was the laptop purchase. Year to date surplus is $1,873,374. Cash and Equivalents – Decreased due to the receipt of Spring ESA earlier in 2026.
Investment committee is forming to advise on long-term strategy for accumulated cash.
Human Resources
SCCS Assistant Controller – search ongoing.
Lynn Devaney, with the Diocese of Davenport, will be conducting pre-meetings with teaching applicants for Theology.
All Saints principal – two new applicants are going through pre-screening. There is a backup scenario in progress if no principal is found or selected.
Communication/Marketing
No updates to report.
Facilities
Buildings and grounds recommended interviewing three construction managers: Bush, Estes, and Russell
Bray to issue documents, schedule interviews, and invite buildings and grounds committee.
Firms will submit sealed fee proposals; final CM selection is a board decision
CM will also price HVAC replacement at All Saints (separate from Grant scope).
All Saints Governance and Board
Bishop directed SCCS to hold All Saints capital funds which will be used for summer improvements
Technology
No updates to report.
New Business
Mission/Governance
Linda Duffy was nominated and approved as vice president for the next 12 months.
Discussed searching for new board members as Rosie Salazar and Carol Foster are stepping down.
Mission and governance committee to convene, review candidate list and interview.
Bishop must approve all new board members
