Finance
ESA – Spring semester tuition deadline for parents’ approval is January 31st, 2026. As of January 26th, tuition still needs to be approved for 12 students. Strong efforts have been made to contact all families.
Beneficial Interest in Assumption Foundation for K-12 Schools is shown now as per year end review of $8,828,859.
Discussed that grounds expenses exceeded the budget due to significant snow and ice removal at the end of November and throughout December.
Human Resources

Facilities
The All Saints building study is scheduled for February 16th, after which discussion regarding a construction manager and associated costs for Grant School will begin. The Grant School kickoff meeting is scheduled for February 10th and will focus on outlining next steps until that time.
Technology
The SCCS Technology Committee has finalized a device repair procedure. The Board was informed that plans are underway to allow parents to use any available funds in the child’s Odyssey account to purchase the repair fee on the Odyssey marketplace. These fees will need to be added to the marketplace by the SCCS Business Office. It was noted that the fees are not standardized.
Unfinished Business
None.
New Business:
2026-2027 Tuition
Parish-subsidized high school tuition will be set at the ESA rate.
Non-parish subsidized high school tuition will increase by 3% to $10,279. It was noted that this rate will require future review.
Parish-subsidized grade school tuition will be set at $6,930, which is $2,000 less than the non-parish subsidized rate. This tuition will follow a two-year plan, with a 14% increase in 2026–2027 and again the following year, with the goal of reaching $500 below the ESA. Any remaining ESA funds would accumulate and may be carried forward to help offset high school tuition costs that exceed the ESA.
Non-parish subsidized grade school tuition will remain at a 5% increase to $8,930.
Broader discussion included the potential need for a long-term tuition strategy tied to the cost of education rather than the ESA alone, as well as the development of a brief salary policy outlining factors considered when determining annual salary increases.
The Board acknowledged that the 2026–2027 budget is expected to be tighter, primarily due to it being the third and final year of reaching 90% of salaries. Use of reserves may be necessary.
A motion was made by Mike Byrne to approve the 2026–2027 tuition rates. The motion was seconded by Rosie Barton and passed unanimously.
Administrative Update
The Board considered entering executive session but decided to remain in open session.
Andy Craig formally announced his intent to step down as President of Scott County Catholic Schools at the end of his 2025-2026 contract.
Andy emphasized that he remains committed to the mission and continued success of SCCS. He will continue to serve fully in his role over the remaining contract period and will support a smooth transition for the next President.
The Board expressed appreciation for Andy’s service and acknowledged the importance of planning for the upcoming transition.
The Executive Committee will schedule a meeting to discuss the hiring of a President for SCCS and next steps.
Adjournment
The meeting was adjourned at 6:40 PM.
Next Meeting
The next meeting will be held in the AHS Board Room at 5:30 PM on Monday, February 23rd, 2026.
