- Prayer
- The Group begins with a prayer for Pope Francis.
- Approval of Minutes:
- Minutes were approved.
- Reports
- Mission and Governance
- Nothing to report at this time.
- Education
- Chad informs the group the biggest conversation concerns textbooks, specifically Science textbooks.
- Moving on to Math textbooks.
- Enrollment:
- Constant movement in enrollment.
- Another increase in enrollment is expected.
- “Pending New Students” refers to students who have applied and are waiting for approval.
- OLOL has a high number of pending new students due to 3 year olds and 4 year olds. They are combining spaces.
- Most of AHS unregistered students are anticipated to be attending.
- AHS typically registers late.
- Finance
- Martha takes the group through the financials for March
- ESA rate approved for 2%
- $7983 for 2025-26
- ESA enrollment is April 16-June 30
- 1050 student applications submitted AOT.
- Tuition letter has been sent out.
- March Financials:
- March had a net surplus of $573,000
- Donation and grant revenue was well above budget.
- $69,000 for roof work at Assumption.
- Martha and Andy take the group through the budget.
- Changes have occurred due to original budget not accounting for ESA.
- Money allocated for capital improvements must be included in the end total.
- There is an approval process for spending the money the schools raise from their individual events, fundraisers, and galas.
- Tuition is based on the non-parish supported rate, with a discount bringing it down to the parish supported rate.
- The parish subsidy is a million dollars, based on current parish supported students, which is roughly $700 per student.
- For outlying parishes it is $755 per student.
- The SJA daycare was not budgeted for, and it is uncertain when it will open or how many students it will have.
- A meeting is scheduled for Wednesday to discuss this, and adjustments can be made in the Fall.
- SCCS will be involved in the daycare hiring process.
- Directors are not budgeted at this time.
- There is a $200,000 surplus to be safe concerning the third section of kindergarten at JFK if it doesn’t continue.
- The starting teacher Salary is $40,500 for this year and $44,500 for the following year (2026-27).
- A motion was made by Linda Duffy to approve the revised budget as it was presented. The motion was seconded by Mike Byrne and passed unanimously.
- Human Resources
- Ethan Connors has been named Principal of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic School.
- Maintenance staff has been hired at All Saints and Lourdes.
- Lourdes maintenance will start training at SJA.
- There is an outstanding teaching position in Spanish at JFK.
- Health insurance renewal is now at 7%.
- An exit interview form has been created.
- The form has been sent to the principals for review and feedback.
- Principals will send the form to employees who are leaving.
- Some discipline issues with employees have occurred.
- No new injuries have been reported.
- Communications and Marketing
- Connor Gauley informs the group that the websites are on time and on budget.
- Facilities

- Technology
- Copilot (AI) has been installed on three computers.

- New Business
- Andy scheduled a meeting with the bishop and cabinet last week.
- Jim Hannon, Andy Craig, Matt McDonald, and representatives from New Hope Church (Grant School) met to tour and discuss the purchase of their new building.
- The Building was sound, with good utilities and lots of storage.
- They are going to make an offer contingent upon SCCS buying Grant School.
- SCCS accepted at $650,000.
- SCCS has to pay for inspections of their new church.
- Andy has the approval of the bishop.
- The offer has to be approved by the College of Consulters.
- If the timeline goes through, SCCS would not be able to take possession until August (at the earliest).
- A discussion will need to be held on who will own the building legally.
