To All Scott County K-12 Catholic School Parents (Newly enrolled and returning)
ESA Program Overview:
By now many of you are aware of Iowa’s Educational Savings Account (ESA) law. If not, theStudents First Act allows eligible Iowa K-12 students to access state funding for accredited nonpublic schools through an ESA. An Iowa ESA is a public fund deposit into government-authorized accounts that families can use for tuition and qualified educational expenses. Unused funds can be rolled over for future educational costs, promoting responsible financial management.
**Please note that unlike previous years an ESA is available to all K-12 students residing in Iowa regardless of family income. All Iowa families need to apply. If you have received an ESA in the past, you still need to apply annually.
We encourage all families to visit the Iowa Department of Education Website for additional information on the ESA program – Students First Education Savings Accounts | Department of Education (iowa.gov)
Application Process and Eligibility: The application period for the 2025-2026 school year is from April 15 to June 30, 2025. All K-12 students residing in Iowa will be eligible regardless of income, but families must apply annually to receive funds.
